A 30-day to 10-week goal experiment, with a companion

Your goals. Your growth. Your companion.

Pick one goal and a number that tracks it. Choose a guide whose ideas you want to test. For 30 days to 10 weeks (10 weeks by default), Enku checks in, asks one honest question, and keeps the measuring straight.

How it works

Three steps, then an honest experiment.

myEnku is a 30-day to 10-week experiment (10 weeks by default). You choose the length when you set up.

  1. Choose your goal

Name one goal and a number that moves when it does: money saved, pages written, minutes practiced. No obvious number? Enku helps you pick a fair proxy.

  2. Find your guide

Answer three quick questions for three matched guides with reasons, or browse all 17, or bring a teacher of your own. Your guide becomes a practice path as long as your experiment: a 10-week path by default.

  3. Measure your growth

Log in under a minute a day. See actual against required pace, your streak, confidence and mood, and what changed when you changed something.

Shorter experiments keep the same shape

Every path ends with weeks that check your work. When you choose fewer weeks, those stay and the practice weeks get fewer. You can also pick any length from 21 to 70 days.

Practice weeks
One practice from your guide each week, adapted rather than quoted. Shorter experiments keep the guide’s first practices and drop the later ones.
Comparison week
A plain week without the guide’s practice, so you can see what the practice actually changed. Kept at every length.
Replication week
Repeat what helped most, to check it wasn’t a fluke. A week of its own at 6 weeks or more. In shorter experiments it folds into the review.
Review week
Look back at your numbers and notes and decide what to keep. Always the last week.
  • 10 weeks (default): 7 practice weeks, a comparison week, a replication week and a review.
  • 6 weeks: 3 practice weeks, a comparison week, a replication week and a review.
  • 30 days: 3 practice weeks, a comparison week, then a review that also repeats what helped.
  • 3 weeks (shortest): 1 practice week, a comparison week, then a review that also repeats what helped.

Meet Enku

Gurus teach. Enku walks with you.

Enku is a small seed with a pearl staff and a gentle habit of asking one good question. It shows up at the edges of your day: a check-in, a setback, a win, the weekly review. Then it gets out of the way so your data stays front and center.

  • Points at your real numbers, never made-up ones
  • Kind about missed days. No guilt, no streak shaming
  • Introduces teachers in the third person, with sources

Seventeen paths. One way of measuring.

Practical, reflective or spiritual: pick the ideas you want to test. Faith and ritual paths are only recommended if you ask for spiritual guidance.

The experiment at its default length: 10 weeks

Seven weeks of practice. Then we check our work.

Each week brings one adapted teaching, a short practice and a reflection question. The last weeks are what make it an experiment rather than a program. Shorter experiments keep them (see how lengths adapt).

At 10 weeks, weeks 1–7 bring one adapted teaching each, from the guide you chose.

Week 8 · Comparison

Fewer practices, same measuring. A neutral week to see what your number does without the extra effort.

Week 9 · Replication

Bring back what seemed to help and see if it helps again. Once is a story; twice is a pattern worth noticing.

Week 10 · Review

Look at the whole run with Enku: outcome, process and observations side by side. Keep, change or start again.

Three kinds of evidence, kept apart

Outcome
Your number against target and pace.
Process
What you did: practices, check-ins, declarations, resets.
Observations
Confidence, mood and hunches logged before results.

We’re looking, not proving. It isn’t a randomized trial, and we say so.

One-Minute Reset

Pause. Notice. Act.

A quiet countdown for the moment you feel stuck: one, three or five minutes, silent by default, with an optional reflection after. Enku says one line before and stays out of the way during.

Honest measurement

The promises we can actually keep.

  • We measure. We don’t promise.

No practice is claimed to cause an outcome. Projections are labeled estimates, never predictions of money or weight.

  • Your numbers stay yours

Switching guides never resets progress or changes what past entries meant. The math is the same whichever path you walk.

  • Gurus teach. Enku walks with you.

Teachings are adapted paraphrases with sources. Enku never speaks as a teacher and never invents a quote.

  • Scripted, and says so

Today Enku runs on written rules over your own data. It is not AI, and we won’t call it AI until it is.

  • Private by default

Your experiment lives on your device. No account, no ads, no selling data. Export a full backup any time.

  • No commission ranking

Guides and books are recommended on fit alone. No affiliate links are active, and any future ones will be labeled.
